Charter to anywhere

Capitol flew military airlift, holiday charters and, after deregulation, cut-rate scheduled service across the Atlantic — all on stretched DC-8s worked out of a base in Smyrna, Tennessee. It stopped flying in November 1984. Our Capitol designs draw on the DC-8 years — the marks crews wore on charters worldwide.
