THE STORY
The apple on the tail
New York Air launched in 1980 to take the Shuttle head on — LaGuardia to Boston and Washington, cheap seats, a red apple on the tail and a snack bag called the Flying Nosh. It was folded into Continental in February 1987. Our New York Air designs draw on the apple years — the marks crews wore out of LaGuardia.
