THE STORY
Charter jets out of Oakland
Trans International flew military and holiday charters worldwide from Oakland, and was among the first supplemental carriers in America to put jets on the certificate. It became Transamerica Airlines and wound down in 1986. Our TIA designs draw on the DC-8 years — the marks crews wore on charters to anywhere.
